Larry Chessin received his BA, Cum Laude, from the University of Rochester and his MD degree, with Honors, from New York University. Early in his career, he served as a Research Associate at the Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Disease at the National Institutes of Health.
He is the former Head of Infections Disease at Genesee Hospital and practiced internal medicine in Rochester. He is currently a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, and a member of its National Council.
Dr. Chessin is also an infectious disease consultant for Rochester General Health System, Rochester General Hospital and Newark Wayne Community.
Dr. Chessin was in Clinical Practice of Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease at the Genesee Hospital, Rochester New York from 1970-2000 until its closure. He continues as a consultant and active teacher of Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and Rochester General Health Systems.
